Help Us Advocate for Families Experiencing Homelessness: Emergency Family Stabilization Act

July 24, 2020

The Emergency Family Stabilization Act

At Family Promise, we know that in communities across the United States, the Coronavirus has made achieving stability even harder for families experiencing homelessness. Low-income families have been some of the hardest hit by unemployment, loss of childcare, and food insecurity.

As part of our efforts to combat this, we have endorsed The Emergency Family Stabilization Act. This legislation would create new emergency funding streams administered by the Administration for Children and Families within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This funding would provide flexible support for community-based organizations to meet the unique needs of children, youth, and families experiencing homelessness in the wake of the Coronavirus.

Now we are calling on you to take action on this important legislation.
