We at Family Promise, Inc.  (“Family Promise” “we,” “us,” or “our”) have created this privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) because we know that you care about how information you provide to us is used and shared. This privacy policy relates to the information collection and use practices of Family Promise in connection with our website located at  www.familypromise.org (the “Website”), services that are made available through the Website (the “Services”), or when you interact with us in any other way. 

By visiting the Website, accessing and/or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be legally bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy and the accompanying Terms of Use.

In the course of operating the Website, providing the Services, and/or interacting with you, we will collect (and/or receive) the following types of information. You authorize us to collect and/or receive such information.

1. Contact Information
When you contact us using the “Contact Us” feature of the Website, including but not limited to, become our partner, email or in any other manner, when you call us, or when you sign up to receive our newsletter, you will be asked to provide certain information, such as your name, e-mail address, and phone number and any other information you are contacting us about (collectively, “Contact Information”). The Contact Information is used to provide the requested service or information and to contact you for purposes of direct marketing of our current and future services.

2. Volunteer Information
When you sign up to become a volunteer, you will be asked to provide certain information, including but not limited to, your name, email address, phone number, organization name (optional), organization zip code (optional) and any other information you would like to provide (collectively, the “Volunteer Information”). We will use Volunteer Information to determine whether you are a good fit for our organization and to contact you about the applicable volunteer opportunities.

3. Affiliate Community
If you are an affiliate of Family Promise, you can access affiliate community section of our Website with your Affiliate Community Account Credentials.

4. Billing Information
In order to make a donation (one-time or recurring), you will be required to provide certain additional information which may include a credit card number, expiration date, billing zip code, activation code, bank information, and similar information (“Billing Information”). Such Billing Information will be collected and processed by our Third Party Payment Processor pursuant to the terms and conditions of their privacy policies and terms of use. Family Process does not directly obtain or process any Billing Information.

5. Other Information
In addition to the Contact Information, Volunteer Information, and Affiliate Community Account Credentials, we may collect or receive the following information (collectively, “Other Information”):

    • From Your Activity. In an ongoing effort to improve the Website and the Services, we automatically collect certain information when you visit the Website and the Services. This information consists of IP addresses, browser type and language, referring and exit pages and URLs, date and time, amount of time spent on particular pages, what sections of the Website and the Services you visit, and similar information concerning your use of the Website and the Services (“Activity Information”).

    • From Cookies. We also collect Activity Information by using “cookie” technology. Cookies are small packets of data that a website stores on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device to “remember” information about your visit. We may use session cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer/device until you delete them). How We Use and Share Your Information 

You authorize us to use the Contact Information, Volunteer Information, Affiliate Community Account Credentials, and Other Information (collectively, the “Information“) to provide our Website and Services, to you, solicit your feedback, inform you about our Services and those of our third-party marketing partners, and to improve the Website and Services. Also, we may use and share the Information as described below.

    • Agents, Providers and Related Third Parties.We may engage other companies and individuals to perform certain business-related functions on our behalf. Examples may include providing technical assistance, order fulfillment, customer service, and marketing assistance. These other companies will have access to the Information only as necessary to perform their functions and to the extent permitted by law. We may also share your Information with any of our parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, or other companies under common control with us.

In addition, you may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of any Family Promise marketing email. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner. You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our subscription databases.

We currently do not change our tracking practices in response to “do not track” settings in your browser. We may have our third-party partners, including web analytics companies, collect information about your online activities over time and across the Website and the Services. Nevada Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of Nevada, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of certain personal information to third parties. You can exercise this right by contacting us at info@familypromise.org with the subject line “Nevada Do Not Sell Request” and providing us with your name and the email address associated with your account. Please note that we do not currently sell your personal information as sales are defined in Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A.

About Children
Family Promise does not knowingly collect or receive personal information from children under the age of 18 through the Website and the ServicesIf you are under the age of 13, please do not provide any personal information through the Website and the Services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce this Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide any personal information on the Website, the Services, or any other web site without their permissionIf you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to Family Promise through the Website and/or the Services, please contact us at info@familypromise.org, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
