Summit, NJ — January 6, 2026 — Family Promise, the leading national nonprofit addressing family homelessness, is proud to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Armstrong to its National Board of Trustees. Armstrong brings nearly two decades of nonprofit leadership experience focused on building strong organizations and advancing mission-driven impact across education, healthcare, and community-based systems.
Armstrong currently serves as Executive Director of ElevateMeD, a national nonprofit focused on strengthening pathways to medicine and professional growth by developing physician leaders who are prepared to improve access, outcomes, and trust in healthcare for communities nationwide.
“Family Promise has long stood out to me for its unwavering commitment to keeping families together and addressing homelessness with dignity, compassion, and proven solutions,” said Armstrong. “I am honored to join the National Board and look forward to supporting an organization that is meeting families’ immediate needs and creating lasting pathways to stability and opportunity.”
Previously, Armstrong served as Executive Director of Family Promise of the Midlands, where he led initiatives centered on youth development, family stability, and resiliency. He has also been recognized for his leadership and service, including receiving the Servant’s Heart Award for his work as a champion for people experiencing homelessness in South Carolina.

In addition to his executive leadership, Armstrong serves on the Georgia and South Carolina Community Development Councils for Truist Bank and was appointed to the Affordable Housing Task Force in the City of Columbia, South Carolina.
