Family Promise is excited to announce a pro bono partnership with Jackson Lewis P.C., a leading national law firm in employment law. Their support will be an invaluable addition to our comprehensive set of services in helping Family Promise and its Affiliates effectively empower families.
Jackson Lewis will provide guidance for Affiliate personnel and HR issues, like compliance and training, and will be working with people served by Affiliates who may be facing employment-related barriers, such as wage suppression or workplace discrimination. By joining together, both organizations will help to provide families at risk and experiencing homelessness with the opportunities they deserve on their pathways to sustainable independence.
Addressing the partnership’s benefits, Family Promise CEO Claas Ehlers said, “In order to ensure the futures of children in families facing homelessness, we need to bring together community resources. Partners like Jackson Lewis, offering pro bono services, bring a level of expertise that is often impossible for nonprofits and low-income families to access. We are tremendously grateful for this engagement.”
“As soon as I spoke with Claas Ehlers, I recognized his passion for helping others. Family Promise’s mission to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence is an admirable one, and we are glad to do whatever we can to help,” said Joel Kelly, Principal in Jackson Lewis’ Los Angeles office.
