The Community Board is a key component in FPUC’s comprehensive approach to addressing family homelessness. The board is comprised of community leaders, and provides an additional voice, advocacy, and assistance for the program by making connections locally that lead to increased opportunities for families, additional fundraising streams, and the formation and strengthening of individual programs. Their function can be described as a combination of ombudsman, “kitchen cabinet,” and fund development committee.
