Alex struggled with addiction for years, even losing custody of her infant daughter, before finding Family Promise. Family Promise helped her reunite with her daughter and gave her the tools to rebuild her life. Alex grew to appreciate the value of helping others while at Family Promise and now works with individuals recovering from addiction.
She also mentors families battling homelessness and teaches a parenting class. The transformation Family Promise sparked in her own life has allowed her to give hope to families struggling as she once did.
