Paul Feig, Director of ‘Bridesmaids’ and Founder of Artingstall’s Gin, Highlights Family Promise During Watch Party

October 6, 2020

BridesmaidsSeptember 24th was a night of laughs, behind-the-scenes stories, and delicious cocktails, but Paul Feig’s Quarantine Cocktails and Bridesmaids Watch Party was also a night of raising awareness about family homelessness.

Over 720 viewers tuned into the virtual event to learn how to make cocktails featuring Paul’s Artingstall’s Brilliant London Dry Gin and collectively watch Bridesmaids. For every person who registered for the event, Artingstall’s donated $1 to Family Promise.

The party, while open to everyone, was geared towards providing some joy to brides who had their wedding plans changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to the event, Paul told the Hollywood Reporter  about why he chose Family Promise as the beneficiary of this one-of-a-kind event:

“I love going to Charity Navigator. When I was doing the Instagram show, I selected a new charity every single day. I did a hundred plus shows, so I was vetting a lot. There’s some that really jump out at you as being so highly-rated based on the work that they’re doing. [Family Promise] is highly-rated for getting the maximum amount of money to the actual people who need it so it was a no-brainer. With COVID going on, now the fires, there’s so much homelessness and people in need. I love the idea of families being taken care of. So, they just seemed like the perfect partner.”

The watch party was also highlighted in Woman’s Day, on Yahoo! Style, in Glamour, and more.

“We’re so grateful to Paul and his team for including us in such a fun and lighthearted event, which raised awareness and funds for families experiencing homelessness,” said Cara Bradshaw, Chief Impact Officer at Family Promise. “Given the challenging times we’re living in, people need a break and an escape, which is exactly what the virtual event offered. I personally enjoyed Paul’s behind-the-scenes commentary while whipping up some great Artingstall’s cocktails.”
