$100,000 investment expands longstanding partnership and strengthens support for children and families experiencing housing instability
SUMMIT, N.J. August 5 – Family Promise, the national leader advancing proven community-based solutions to prevent and end family homelessness, today announced the launch of the Family Promise Children’s Assistance Fund through a $100,000 investment from Kiddie Academy®, a national leader in educational childcare.
The Children’s Assistance Fund will provide flexible financial assistance to support families with children facing barriers to stability, including school supplies and uniforms, tutoring, mental health services, health care expenses, extracurricular activities, and summer programs. Administered through eight Family Promise local sites, the fund will enable the locations to respond quickly to the needs of local children and families before short-term challenges become long-term setbacks.

The Children’s Assistance Fund reflects Family Promise’s evidence-based approach to preventing and ending family homelessness. Through its national network of nearly 180 local sites, Family Promise identifies proven strategies that help families achieve lasting stability and equips local communities to deliver those solutions where they are needed most. By combining national leadership, local expertise, and flexible resources, Family Promise helps families remain safely housed and build a stronger future.
The investment builds on more than six years of partnership between Family Promise and Kiddie Academy. Together, the organizations have invested in professional development across the Family Promise network through the Family Promise Leadership Academy, equipping local site staff and board members with on-demand, role-based training and resources to better serve families through holistic, trauma-informed care.
The partnership has also advanced initiatives like Night Without a Bed® and connected Kiddie Academy franchisees with local Family Promise sites to strengthen communities across the country. By investing in both the people serving families and the resources available to children, Kiddie Academy is helping strengthen Family Promise’s national network that served 31,500 families and nearly 49,000 children through its core programs in 2025.
