Family Promise recognized for its commitment to bottom-up empowerment receiving $200,000 over two years to expand its impact.
Summit, NJ — Family Promise begins its second year in Stand Together Foundation’s highly selective Catalyst Impact Grant Program to accelerate its impact and transform how families experiencing homelessness are provided support.
Family Promise prevents and ends homelessness for families with children and helps them achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. With a nationwide presence, Family Promise delivers innovative solutions for family homelessness to hundreds of communities across the country.
Catalyst Impact Grant Program participants receive access to Customer First Measurement™, a results-driven approach that enables community organizations across the country to better understand the people they serve and make the biggest difference in their lives. They also receive a grant for as much as $200,000 over two years and custom coaching in Principle Based Management™. This premier management framework enables organizations to directly integrate their principles in the way they lead, make decisions, execute strategies, and deliver results.
“Stand Together Foundation’s support is helping Family Promise expand our work with families across the country,” said Family Promise CEO Cheryl Schuch. “Together, we’re strengthening programs that provide stability today while continuing to learn from the families we serve and improve how we support them.”
Family Promise was chosen to participate in the Catalyst Impact Grant Program for its commitment to empowering families to shape their own path forward. The organization recognizes that families are the true experts in their own lives. By providing coaching that helps families identify their strengths and resources, Family Promise supports them in building long-term stability.

Catalyst Impact Partners are expected to:
- Build the movement toward empowerment. Reject one-size-fits-all solutions and pioneer a future driven by empowerment among philanthropists and nonprofits.
- Advance a vision and management culture that empowers rather than controls. Impact Partners focus on leveraging Principle Based Management to empower their employees to empower the people they serve. Principle Based Management provides a holistic approach to making decisions, solving problems, and creating value for individuals and society.
- Model a “customer-first” impact vision. Impact Partners participate in Stand Together Foundation’s pioneering measurement approach to understand impact through customer feedback.
