Chris King and Vernon Williams Appointed to Family Promise Board of Trustees

SUMMIT, New Jersey, May 9, 2023 – Family Promise, the leading national nonprofit working to prevent and end family homelessness, today announced the appointment of two new board members to the organization’s board of trustees. 

 Chris King is a partner within the Trust segment of PwC. He has more than 20 years of public accounting experience, helping companies of all sizes solve complex business transactions. 

“I am honored and humbled to join such a distinguished group of board members,” said King. “As a father and husband, I know how important it is to have a stable home, and I look forward to working on the Family Promise team to help eliminate homelessness among families.” 

Vernon Williams, assistant to the pastor at Fountain Baptist Church, is the president of the Summit Interfaith Council in Summit, NJ, as well as a founding member of the Summit Interfaith Council Anti-Racism Committee. Vernon spent the first 17 years of his career as a project, plant, and resident engineer with Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. 

“I am honored to join the Family Promise team and be a part of an organization that works so tirelessly to eliminate homelessness among families while strengthening the whole family,” said Williams. “I especially appreciate that Family Promise is strategic in developing unique and creative ways to support families.”
