Family Promise Welcomes Three New Board Members: James A. Block, Priscilla Sanches Salles, and Kevin Shabazz

Summit, NJ — October 10, 2025 — Family Promise, the leading national nonprofit addressing family homelessness, is proud to announce the appointment of James A. Block, Priscilla Sanches Salles, and Kevin Shabazz to its National Board of Trustees. Each brings expertise, leadership, and passion for advancing Family Promise’s mission. 

Block is a partner and Director of Finance at The KRE Group, one of New Jersey’s largest privately held real estate development companies. His extended experience with real estate capital markets will play a big role in helping Family Promise evolve its housing programming. 

Salles is a Multilingual Language Learners teacher at New Jersey Public Schools. Her experience will strengthen Family Promise’s community-based approach to bring flexible programming designed to align with the challenges families face.   

Shabazz is the founder and CEO of Greene Developers. He has over a decade of experience in sustainable development and social entrepreneurship. His experience will be crucial as Family Promise expands its housing programming.
