Family Promise and ROC USA Announce Partnership to Help Families Achieve Homeownership

November 20, 2019

The organizations will work together to develop programs and awareness efforts

SUMMIT, NJ., NOV. 20, 2019 – Family Promise and ROC USA announced an official partnership today. The organizations will work together to develop programs that will create pathways for families experiencing homelessness to achieve homeownership in Resident Owned Communities (ROCs). The organizations will also work together to raise awareness about family homelessness.

“One of the points of the Family Promise star is ‘community.’ It is central to whom we engage, what we do, and what we create,” said Claas Ehlers, Chief Executive Officer at Family Promise. “We are thrilled to work formally with ROC USA Network, which embodies those same principles. Manufactured housing is our country’s largest source of affordable housing without a subsidy. ROC USA Network is an important part of our efforts to give families not just homes but an opportunity to achieve the future for their children that every parent wants.”

“We are excited to enter a national partnership with Family Promise after seeing the incredible impact that two Affiliates have had in two Resident Owned Communities in Montana and Colorado,” said Paul Bradley, President of ROC USA, LLC. “ROCs are engaged, secure and affordable communities – a perfect place for families and individuals that are working with Family Promise and their effective and time-tested model.”
