Family Promise Receives a $25,000 Grant from Truist Foundation

April 28, 2021

Summit, NJ, (April 28, 2021) – Family Promise has received a $25,000 grant from Truist Foundation to support Family Promise Affiliates in California.

“We are most grateful for the Truist Foundation’s support of our work in California,” said Claas Ehlers, Family Promise CEO. “These funds will allow us to build capacity, strengthen our California Affiliates, and help them adapt to changes caused by the pandemic, helping us fulfill our mission to sustainably house more families and help more children.”

In addition to ensuring that families have food and shelter, Family Promise Affiliates address the range of issues affecting families experiencing homelessness and low-income families. The Truist Foundation grant will help California Affiliates develop and provide additional services related to prevention, diversion, and housing and provide services in additional communities where there is a significant need. This will result in housing for more families and children and will increase the likelihood that those families stay housed.

“We’re proud to partner with an organization that shares in Truist’s purpose to inspire and build better lives and communities,” said Andreas Neumeier, head of corporate banking telecom, media and technology at Truist Securities, speaking on behalf of the Truist Foundation. “Family Promise is doing incredible work to improve the lives of California residents by fulfilling their basic needs and ensuring they have opportunities to thrive.”
