Susan Hardwick, CFO of American Water and Family Promise Trustee, Honored by Philadelphia Business Journal
Susan Hardwick, a member of the Family Promise Board of Trustees and the Chief Financial Officer of American Water, was recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a CFO of the Year honoree. The award honors those executives who exemplify the professionalism, integrity, resilience, mastery of all the financial and people skills that make a great CFO.
The Philadelphia Business Journal CFO of the Year Honorees were selected by the Business Journal editorial team from a slate of nominees. Several criteria were used for the selection, including: financial accomplishments, tenure and scope of responsibilities, leadership, respect and influence within the company, community involvement and stewardship of the company’s business model.
Hardwick joined the Family Promise Board of Trustees in December of 2019. “Joining the Family Promise board has been an important opportunity for me to help further the great work of this organization. Homelessness comes in many forms for many reasons,” Hardwick said at the time of her induction. “The mission of this organization is to prevent it. I find organizations that work to prevent issues rather than correct them are most sustainable. I am thrilled to be part of an organization focused on long term solutions.”
